Investigation of the dynamics of immiscible displacement of a ganglion in capillaries

In this work the problem of displacing a ganglion ?uid by another immiscible one in capillaries is investigated. A modeling approach developed to predict location with time. The model describes two patterns; namely, when totally exists inside tube, and advancing interface has broken through exit tube. valid for case which wetting as well it nonwetting wall It also considers situation both receding interfaces assume, generally, different contact angles. For special displacement process quasistatic, angles may be considered same. Under these conditions, interfacial tension force plays no role moves plug tube constant velocity. When viscosity ratio between invading (i.e., phases are having same viscosity) motion reduces Hagen-Poiseuille ?ow pipes.
